Minecraft – How to Make an Aqueduct (lead)

The aqueduct was added in Minecraft version 1.13. Today we are going to show you how to do it and what you need to know about it.

In version 1.16 of Minecraft, the effects of the aqueduct now also apply in the rain, so swimming is no longer necessary.

How to make an aqueduct in Minecraft

First, you will need 8 nautilus shells. Nautilus shells can be obtained by fishing and sometimes by drowning people. And second, you need a heart of the sea. You can only get it by finding buried treasure that is on a buried treasure map. These can be found in shipwrecks and oceanic monuments.

You can create the aqueduct with a worktable by placing the eight nautilus shells around the heart of the sea. The picture above serves as a reference for this.

How do I activate the aqueduct?

The aqueduct has a range of 32 to 96 blocks, depending on how many Prismarine blocks you have placed around it. The easiest way to activate it is to submerge it and build around it. If you want to build it above water, you’ll need to include the entire structure to prevent water from leaking out.

That way, you can use an aqueduct as efficiently as possible in Minecraft.
